The story of Assisting Seniors at Home begins almost three decades ago, when Nicholas Marra and Howard Walsh III started out as childhood friends.
The two boys remained friends throughout high school and college, where afterward Howard became an attorney and Nick opened a tree-removal service with his brother, Joe. Eventually, Nick began to see an increasing need, one which he became increasingly aware of after working for and speaking with various clients, for aid to those with disabilities.
During a friendly night out, he brought up his concerns to Howard. He wanted to branch out, and follow a genuine desire to help those with physical and mental limitations. Much to his surprise, his friend thought that the idea was excellent; Howard had, at the time, also recently been seeing the same need, as more and more elderly clients approached him to handle their wills and trusts. They had simply no one to care for them, and it had moved him.
A few months later, roughly halfway into 2006, Assisting Seniors at Home was born in northern New Jersey, a joint partnership between the two friends. Since that time, the Assisting Seniors family has grown to become one of the most trusted, private Home Care Agencies and continues to do so. The agency boasts roughly 100+ clients and 160 caregivers between four locations, and they are constantly looking to expand the aid for those in need through nationwide Partner Opportunities and Caregiver Jobs.
Based on the principles first ingrained by Nick and Howard, Assisting Seniors at Home recognizes that due to aging, illness, injury, pregnancy, and other circumstances, either you or a loved one may require assistance with daily living.
Our mission is to match the perfect caregivers with those in need to provide the best caring assistance. Furthermore, it is also not only our goal, but our duty to help relieve the stress of the family members that are currently taking care of their loved ones.
To facilitate that goal and our mission, we embrace three core principles:
- Be Trustworthy
Competent and carefully screened caregivers are especially chosen for their trustworthiness and commitment to quality care.
- Be Dependable
Every client can rely on Assisting Seniors to locate caregivers who will reliably attend to their needs on their own schedule.
- Be Affordable
We work with each client to create a cost-effective plan that includes securing any benefits available from insurance, Veterans Affairs, State and private membership affiliations.
